Dr. Staci Borkhuis

I was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota.  Growing up, I learned the importance of education from my parents, Steven and Jody Fogarty, who are both teachers in the Minot Public Schools.  After graduating from Minot High School in 1999, I moved to Grand Forks to attend the University of North Dakota.  I began my undergraduate education knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in health, but was unsure of exactly what path to take.  For a short while I was involved in the Physical Therapy Program, and then Athletic Training, but found that these careers weren't what I was looking for.   It was then that I knew that I wanted to be a doctor, and discovered that Chiropractic was a perfect fit for me.  This became clear to me when I came to the realization that I wanted to help my patients attain optimal health and vitality through natural methods.  Instead of helping people get over their injuries or illness, I wanted to make sure they were experiencing health at an optimal level.  

I began my doctoral program at Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2005, and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2008.  Since graduation, I have completed training and am certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture, and am in the process of completing advanced training in the field of Pediatrics.  

After graduation from Northwestern, I began by professional career at my private practice, CornerStone Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center, in Minot.  My training has given me a solid educational background and the foundation for excellent communication and diagnosis, allowing me to deliver only the highest quality of patient care.

When taking care of my patients, I use a "whole person approach". In addition to owning and operating CornerStone Chiropractic, I am happily married to Brad Borkhuis, also a Minot native.  Brad is also a local business owner, and CEO of Wholesale Supply Company.  When we're not in our offices, we enjoy traveling all over the world!  We also enjoy spending time with friends and family, and our three dogs, Sam, Rudy and Tucker.
